About Delaney

Hi! I'm Delaney Hunter, a proud Minnesota native bursting with passion for the performing arts. I’m a true fashionista at heart who never passes on a chance to dress up! Currently, I'm diving deep into my studies at Ball State University, earning myself a BFA in Musical Theatre.

My journey began at River Valley Dance Academy in Chaska, Minnesota, where I fell head over heels for dance at the tender age of 3. Since then, my love for the arts has only grown stronger!

From my professional debut at age 11 to performing with renowned theatre companies like Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Children’s Theatre Company, and the Guthrie Theater, I've been lucky to immerse myself in unforgettable experiences. In 2021, I was honored with the Hennepin Theatre Trust Triple-Threat Award, marking a milestone in my career.

Beyond acting, singing, and dancing, I also find joy in composing music and choreographing for artists of all ages and skill levels. Recently, I won Ball State University's Talent Search Competition with my original song "What if?"—a moment I'll cherish forever!

Looking ahead, I'm driven to make arts education more accessible and create inclusive spaces where everyone can express themselves authentically. For me, the arts have been a sanctuary, and I want to pay it forward by fostering environments where creativity thrives.

If you're curious about what's next for me, catch me in Newsies at Artistry August 15th-18th. Let's celebrate the magic of the arts together!

Love art in yourself, not yourself in art.
